Question: Can I own more than one team?
Answer: Yes -- you can own up to one team per Tier you are eligible for. Supposing you have a team in Tier-1, this means you can own up to three teams in 2011, but you can reserve teams all the way down to Tier-5 if you're really a "superfan" of the PFFL. Tier-4 and Tier-5 won't play this year, but by signing up now you can be sure to have a team in those tiers for next year -- we're going to try to fill those up with new players and teams as soon as possible.
What we don't want to do is make this league about paying more money -- the whole point is to be able to win more money without making it a "high-stakes" league. We also don't want to let people "buy" there way into a high-tier league, but given the relatively low stakes, we think this is a happy medium.
Why would you want multiple teams? You obviously can increase your odds of winning a prize, but also increase your long-term chances of getting to a higher tier.
Imagine having a team in Tier-2 and a team in Tier-3 -- if you lose in Tier-2 and have to move down, but you win in Tier-3, you can effectively "stay" in Tier-2 for the following year, giving you access to even bigger prizes. If your two teams end up in the same tier the following year, you will either have to surrender one of the teams or opt to remain in a lower tier with one of the teams.
