The PFFL isn't just the best Fantasy Football League on the planet -- we've also got potential to offer the BIGGEST prizes in the world. Here's how it works:
Each year, The PFFL establishes fixed prizes to be offered for the season, where you have a chance to win prizes based on which tier your team is in. Since there is no limit to how big The PFFL can become, as we grow the prizes will grow right along with it. So imagine: as the number of players in The PFFL goes from hundreds, to thousands, to millions of players some day, the prizes will grow to MILLIONS of dollars as well!
For 2012, we've fixed a prize pool of
$12,000 -- see below for a full breakdown, but here's the basic idea: Tier-1 pays out $3,200, Tier-2 pays out $800 per league, and Tier-3 pays out $200 per league. Get it? The higher your tier, the bigger the prizes. But that's not all -- we've got
$2,400 in BONUS PRIZES for things like Weekly Top Score and Highest Power Ranking that will allow even our lowest-tier teams to have a shot at big money your first year. Plus,
anyone can make money through the PFFL: get $5 for each friend you refer!
So just how big can The PFFL prizes get? If we can grow at a rate of two tiers per year, here is what the prize pool could be each year:
2012: $12,000
2013: $40,000
2015: $600,000
2016: $10,000,000
2017: $40,000,000
Now, to be clear, we don't
guarantee that we'll have prizes this big -- but it IS possible. And we also need a little "compliance note" for you: The PFFL does
not base our prizes on the number of players or on the size of the entry fee. Instead, we used a fixed prize system that clearly defines how much money you stand to win when you pay your entry fee.
Now, that said, each year we will establish a new prize schedule for the upcoming season, and we'll be able to offer bigger prizes the bigger our organization gets. So when you
spread the word and help us grow, you'll be growing YOUR own prizes for future years as well!
We all know that in Fantasy, sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way. So at The PFFL, we've got lots of prizes to hand out, even if you don't win one of the League prizes.
We hand out prizes every week -- score the most points in The PFFL that week? Boom! That's a prize. We also give the team that scores the most points in a
losing effort our "Bad Beat of the Week" prize. We also have prizes for our
Smack of the Week that goes to our highest-rated Smack all season long
In a lower tier? This is your chance to win big prizes this year. We go out of our way to stack the odds in the favor of our lower tier guys, so even if your league prize isn't going to knock your socks off you've still got a chance at some big prizes, right now.
For 2012, we've set aside $2,400 for bonus prizes, which adds up to almost $10 per player! The bonus pool will also grow as The PFFL grows too, so these prizes can also get HUGE.
How easy is it to make money with The PFFL?
How about this:
91.67% of all PFFL players earned or won money in 2011, and 50% of our players earned enough money to have a free team in 2012. Bottom line: we pay YOU just for making this league great.
The easiest way to make money is just to spread the word -- as part of our 2012 stimulus package, we'll pay you $5 for every friend you refer, and $5 for every team they take out. If you referred a friend last year, we'll even pay your $5 if they just renew their team. That's right -- grab a couple of friends, and your 2012 entry fee is PAID FOR.

There are two questions we get a lot here at The PFFL: is this legal? Is this a pyramid scheme? Rest assured: this is 100% legal and it's not a pyramid scheme.
The "Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act"
specifically exempted Fantasy Sports from the list of illegal gaming sites because it's a "Game of Skill" not a "Game of Chance." We are 100% compliant with all of those provisions, specifically that we use "fixed prizes" at The PFFL. Check your local and state guidelines, but this is A-O-K under US Federal Law.
And it's definitely not a pyramid scheme. For starters, your "tier" isn't fixed -- you can both move up as well as move down. Those who start at the top won't necessarily stay there, and in fact most won't. Likewise, if you start at the bottom you can move up too - that's what it's all about!
But let's get technical -- the whole
problem with a pyramid scheme is that it's an unsustainable business model, and will eventually come crashing down. That's simply not the case with The PFFL: we only pay out prizes based on what our revenue allows us to set aside beforehand, and there is NO GUARANTEE that we'll grow at a certain rate or that YOU will ever make huge money.
The PFFL offers a 100% Prize Payout Guarantee, and we have a proven track record of making payouts to our winners in a timely fashion. When we establish the prize pool for the upcoming season, we set aside those funds into a separate prize account that is independently audited so you know that your prizes are 100% guaranteed. Bottom line: we will always have the money to pay our winners, because it is set aside
first and is not based on the number of players or the size of the entry fees.
Throughout the season and the offseason, you can earn money and win prizes on an ongoing basis. We will track all of your winnings and earnings for you to view anytime, and keep a running balance in your account. We make payouts to those with positive balances once a year, right after Super Sunday. If you'd like a payout, we will either deliver that to you via PayPal or via check -- your choice.
